Mr. Kevin Carroll

Bands
Mr. Carroll is a saxophonist and a graduate of the University of
Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He completed his masters degree in
instrumental music education from the VanderCook College of
Music in Chicago. Mr. Carroll began his teaching career at Joliet
West during the spring semester of 1993. During Mr. Carroll’s
tenure at Joliet West he was awarded the Chicagoland Music
Educator of the Year Award in 2002 and has been a “Who’s Who
Among American Teachers” selectee numerous times.
Under Mr. Carroll’s direction, the Joliet West Band Program has
earned many awards in Illinois and throughout the country. Some
of the most prestigious awards include acceptance into the Illinois
Super State Concert Band Competition 2003-2005 & 2007 and
Grand Champion of Illinois State University’s Concert Band
Invitational for 2006.
